Vice President of global Sales, Marketing and After-Sales of smart Automobile Co., Ltd.
Mr. Daniel Lescow holds the position of Vice President of global Sales, Marketing and After-Sales in smart Automobile Co. Ltd. and serves as Chairman of the supervisory Board of smart Europe GmbH. Prior to that, he has held several senior positions in Sales, Marketing and Product Management in Germany and China, both for Mercedes-Benz and smart.
Mr. Daniel Lescow was born in the north of Germany. After obtaining his Diplom-Betriebswirt (BA) degree of international business administration, he joint Daimler AG in 2004. He has since then gained extensive experience in various leadership positions, both in Germany and abroad.
Daniel Lescow embarked on his career in the Quality Department of Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars before taking charge of the Mercedes-Benz Marketing System in 2007. In 2010, he took over the responsibility of Business Development and Strategy at Mercedes-Benz China Ltd., based in Beijing. From 2013 onwards, Daniel Lescow was responsible for the smart business unit in China. During this time, he has made significant contributions by enhancing the smart brand recognition and accumulating deep understanding of the Chinese automotive market and Chinese culture.
He returned to Stuttgart in the end of 2014 where he was in charge for a major restructuring initiative regarding the Mercedes-Benz Sales and Marketing organization for passenger cars in the European marketplace. In 2016, Daniel Lescow was appointed Director of smart Brand and Product Management, later on reporting directly to Britta Seeger the executive Board Member for Sales & Marketing of Daimler AG and Mercedes-Benz AG. Daniel Lescow joined smart Automobile Co. Ltd. in 2020.
