Sarah Lamboj holds the position of CEO at smart Austria and is responsible for establishing the national smart organization.
She embarked on her professional journey after graduating in entrepreneurship from the University of Applied Sciences for Management & Communication in 2010. She began her career as a supply manager at the startup mytaxi. Within a year, she assumed the role of location manager for Austria and subsequently took charge of the sales department, leading the transformation of the Austrian taxi market.
In 2015, Sarah became one of the two managing directors of mytaxi Austria, expanding her responsibilities to include marketing, public relations, public affairs, and overseeing the profit and loss statement. She played a key role in the implementation of the single-tier law in 2021, contributing to the equalization of conditions between taxis and private hire vehicles. In 2019, Sarah successfully spearheaded the rebranding of mytaxi into FREE NOW, introduced a multimodal app, and championed a net-zero strategy to reduce fleet emissions, with a strong emphasis on electric vehicles.
With her experience, Sarah took on the role of CEO at smart Austria in August 2021. In this capacity, she is poised to contribute to the next chapter in the successful story of the smart brand.
