October 14, 2024, Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany. smart introduces practical new functionalities for the smart #1 and smart #3 models and once again underlines the brand's focus on comfort and user-friendly technology. Key features include 'Send to Car' for seamless charging station integration, 'Easy Entry/Exit' for personalised convenience and a 'Drive Setup Button' for instant customisation of driving preferences. Among other features, it also introduces enhanced entertainment and navigation functions. The update will be rolled out gradually from mid-October.
The new OTA update features a range of innovations that further enhance driving comfort and enjoyment, always with the focus on the customer.
The new “Drive Setup button” offers great benefits in terms of convenience and personalization. Drivers of a smart #1 or smart #3 can from now on effortlessly restore their preferred driving modes and assistance systems. In just one touch, the vehicle adapts to the individual preferences in Energy Regeneration, Lane Assist, Emergency Lane Assist, Automatic Speed Adjustment, Lane Change Assist, and Active Speed Limit Warning, providing a fully customized driving experience from the moment the drive with the smart vehicle starts. This means that the driving experience can be personalized instantly without the need for manual settings and the vehicle can always be adapted to the customer’s personal preferences.
The new “Send To Car” function allows customers to send their charging station locations directly to the navigation system via the Hello smart app before starting their journey. This means less effort and seamless planning for longer journeys.
Drivers of a smart #1 or smart #3 can now enjoy enhanced convenience with a new feature in the "Easy Entry/Exit" function. While this function has been available in our vehicles, the latest update introduces the option to activate it by pressing the brake pedal after stepping into the car. Now, seat settings can automatically return to the preferred position either when the door is closed or via the new brake pedal activation, ensuring a personalized and comfortable driving experience.
