Chief Executive Officer, smart Austria

Mrs. Sarah Lamboj serves as CEO of smart Austria and is in-charge of building up the national smart organisation.

After graduating in entrepreneurship at the University of Applied Sciences for Management & Communication in 2010, Sarah began her career as supply manager for the start-up mytaxi. She became the location manager for Austria within the year, took over the sales department and started the reformation of the Austrian taxi market.

In 2015 she became one of two managing directors of mytaxi Austria, adding marketing, public relations and public affairs – as well as the profit and loss statement – to her responsibilities. She played a main role in the introduction of the single-tier law in 2021, thereby levelling the playing field for taxis and private hire vehicles. In 2019, she launched the successful rebranding of mytaxi into FREE NOW, introduced a multimodal app and engaged in a net-zero strategy to reduce the emissions of her fleet with a strong focus on electric vehicles.

All this experience will help Sarah as of August 2021 in her position as CEO smart Austria to write the next chapter in the successful story of the smart brand.
