smart becomes mobility partner of FC St. Pauli

Going for the goal with mutual values

  • smart becomes mobility partner of sports club in the Hanseatic City of Hamburg on March 7
  • smart supports club’s first women’s team with the all-electric smart #1 and #3 at away matches
  • Long-term development of partnership is a joint goal of FC St. Pauli and smart

March 7, 2024, Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany. From March 7, 2024, smart will be the official mobility partner of the traditional sports club FC St. Pauli. This partnership marks an important step for smart on its way to making sustainable and positive contributions to social and cultural coexistence, especially in urban environments.

As part of its long-term commitment, the smart team has set itself the goal of promoting shared values and supporting socially relevant issues together with the sportsmen and women of the traditional Hamburg club.

In FC St. Pauli, we have found a strong partner with a similar understanding of values that is open to sustainable concepts and technology. We see our collaboration not just as a classic sponsorship, but rather as an opportunity to jointly support socially relevant issues and to offer a platform.

smart x St. Pauli

The partnership will kick off with FC St. Pauli’s home game in the Bundesliga’s second division against SC Paderborn on March 31, 2024, when smart will be present as Partner of the Day. During the match, smart will attract attention with special messages on the perimeter screens. The mobility partner will also be visible on the logo wall during post-match interviews with players. In addition to this activity on the 27th match day of the 2023/24 season, further specific measures have been agreed between smart and FC St. Pauli. For example, the carmaker is supporting the club’s 1st women’s soccer team on away fixtures with smart #1 and #3 vehicles from the BRABUS and Premium lines.

When we think of cars, we think electric and, of course, we prefer smart, a game changer in its sector. In smart, we have found the ideal partner in the field of e-mobility. The further development of the brand and products underlines their unconventional character, an approach that we share with smart.

Wilken Engelbracht, Commercial Director, FC St. Pauli

Together with the club and in close cooperation with the fans and the FC St. Pauli community, smart would like to expand its collaboration in several areas in the long term and live up to its role as a value-oriented partner.
